Zoë Alexandria Trusted Suppliers

All of Zoë Alexandria’s raw materials and stones are responsibly sourced and sustainably produced. Read more about our trusted suppliers below.

We believe in complete transparency. It's a founding pillar when creating ethical and sustainable fine jewellery. From our gem merchants to the metal refineries, you deserve to know what impact your jewellery has made on this planet.

Ethically sourced gemstones

The majority of our gemstones are sourced from Jaipur. Back in 2017, Zoë took her first ever trip to India, after desperately wanting to visit the country since she was a little girl. Jaipur is the gem capital of the world, and once mined, most stones will go through the city to be cut and polished, before being sent back out to wholesalers.

After extensive research, Zoë found Rahil, a gem merchant and manufacturer to whom she still holds a strong relationship with. A lot of the stones used in Zoë's designs have come directly from Rahil. Another stone merchant Zoë met whilst in India is Ajay, who also supplies Zoë with gems.

If we can't source the appropriate stones from Rahil or Ajay, we also have a number of Australian based stone suppliers who we work with.

Sustainably produced precious metals

We believe in working with companies that have a strong sustainability practice in place. If we haven't recycled our scrap metals in-house to use to make new jewellery, then we purchase already recycled gold and silver from an Australian based refinery who is accredited by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and can trace its precious metals supply directly to its primary source, using conflict-free Australian Gold & Silver.

Other trusted suppliers

We like to keep our production in-house as much as possible, however this is not always achievable usually because we require specialised equipment. When we do need to outsource particular manufacturing processes - like gold plating or advanced stone setting -  we always use local businesses who we know and trust.
