Local label Zoë Alexandria, created by Zoë Richardson, specialises in rough-hewn gems, studded into gold and sterling silver bands. Each piece is necessarily unique: its hand-crafted quality would not allow anything less. The brand recently implemented a recycling initiative, which aims to turn what’s old into something new again. The service, says Richardson, is “for anyone still holding on to an old engagement ring from an ex-fiancé, a hideous necklace from an eccentric mother in law that is never going to be worn, or a family heirloom that’s no longer in fashion but still contains meaning”.
